How do you not look at that face and not feel happier? When you are looking does Ernie’s rubber ducky song float into your head? Maybe it is just me and that I have to watch that clip once a day.Oh, well still a good song.

We read how the caterpillar is hungry, eats junk food, and gets a tummy ache. If only he would not eat that last slice of watermelon he wouldn’t have any problems.

July 11 Letter
I am playing catch up because I took the photo but the days got away from me before I could post it.
I really like letters for decor. They are graphic. They represent someone/something. Just in case you get lost in someones house you can tell which room belongs to whom. 
July 14 Building
I see buildings all day everyday. It has been nice today to see something different….. clouds.
One day last summer I went outside and something was different. There were clouds in the sky. It had been clear blue skies for so long that the one day that puffy white clouds appeared they seemed out of place.
When ever I see clouds like this it reminds me of my Grandma Ekins. She loved to paint majestic mountains and clouds.

July 10 Favorite Color

I love all the colors but my most favorite is any shade of green. My most favorite time seeing green is in spring when all the trees have their new fresh bright leaves. So many different kinds of green declaring the dreary days of winter are gone.
This is a project that I am working on where I used Rit Dye for the first time ever. It was suppose to be minty green but I didn’t follow the color formula like I should have. It still is a good color though.

In the desert this is the extent of garden that we have by my house. Where I grew up there was grass filled front yards and trees lining the street so moving to Vegas has been a big change. But it is still surprising the variety of how much really grows in such an arid climate and things bloom several times during the year.

July 4th is there any funner holiday? Floats, sunshine, one candy bar thrown at you, high school bands, and friends.

Best part of the day

Everyday when Tom gets home he is required to sit down and read books with Rose. I say required because if he won’t he has an angry, disappointed one yr old on his hands. But Tom doesn’t mind in fact he always tells Rose that it is the best part of his whole day. I love to see this simple moment of Daddy/Daughter time where they snuggle together and read a book.
As a side note have you seen Apartment Therapy today? Because Rosabeth’s first birthday party is there!
