Year 2 Week 3

- Rose got frustrated that she was done going potty and I was not wiping her bum. Instead of saying “wipe my bum” she said something that sounded like “wipe obama” which is funny cause she likes President Obama

- Balloons are still floating around the house from her birthday. Rose will bring one to you and request for you to hit the ceiling with it. She also want’s you to hit the TV as well which happened by accident one day and she thought it was so funny that it should happen again.

Year 2 Week 2

- Operation Tinkle Time has commenced. The upside to potty training is your carpet and sofa gets a cleaning. The downside of potty training is asking “Do you have to go potty” every few minutes all day long it gets old really fast.

- For her birthday she was more excited about the birthday candle than the cupcake. So much so that she didn’t want to take it out even to eat it. She just ate around it.

- And yes she wore her sunglasses all during dinner.

Year 1 Week 52

- While we snuggle before bed Rose will sometimes request a song. The first time she did this it was “You are my Sunshine” which is a song that describes how I feel about her. It melts my heart to know that she likes to have me sing it to her.

- One of our favorite Rose-isms is when she is looking for us and she says “Mommy, are you?” “Daddy, are you?”

Year 1 Week 51

-Rose is very particular about how she eats certain foods for instance she likes to eat her Mac & Cheese one noodle at a time like and when eating peas she has to squish them first to only eat the inside. These processes make her a really slow eater.

- When sharing french fries with Rose be warned that she will make sure that all yours are gone before she eats hers.

-We had to change Rose’s shirt after lunch and she requested to “pokey-ot” shirt. I guess having so much polka dot things to wear she was bound to learn the word fast.

Year 1 Week 50

- Even while under the weather rose can look fabulous. For the past few days she got a bumpy rash all over, a fever and the only thing she has wants to eat is apple sauce.

- Every night when Daddy get home from work Rose sits on his lap and requests to watch “the daily show”. Daddy really likes that she likes one of his shows so much.

Year 1 Week 49

- Rose’s phrase of the week- ooooooOOOO…… Fun!

- At nursery Rose learned the song “Fun to do”. She has started requesting it during the rest of the week. Blinking our eyes, pinching your cheek, messing up your hair, and kicking your legs are very fun to do.

Year 1 Week 48

- What a week. Rose has started going potty in the toilet. We still have a ways to go before she is fully potty trained but she took the first step. When she is on the potty and she makes any “progress” she smiles, claps her hands and says Hurray.

- A few weeks  ago we went to the dr.s office and mickey went with us. I didn’t want the germs to come home with us so  when we got home he took a “shower” of Lysol. Now Rose randomly asks for Mickey and Minnie to have another “shower” to get all clean.

- Rose really enjoyed her first ever Easter egg hunt today especially the cookie she got after.

Year 1 Week 47

- When we get out of an elevator Rose say’s “Hurray, we made it.”

- Rose and I spent 20 minutes today opening the patio door, saying hi, then closing the door. She would have done it for another 20 but Mommy said no thanks.

Year 1 Week 46

- Have I told you that Rose is a chocoholic? Well she is.

- Rose loves to get on Mommy and Daddy’s bed. she jumps, tells me that it is time for night night while she gets under the covers, and laughs. She laughs alot.

- Christmas music is what Rose requests anytime of year or weather. She especially loves Jingle bells.
